How to Stop Comparing Yourself to Others
Acknowledge Your Greatness!
Do you ever tell yourself how awesome you are? YOU SHOULD! You have incredible qualities that deserve to be recognized. The first person to recognize them should be you! You are fantastic. All you need to do is give yourself a chance and stop being so hard on yourself.
Show Your Gratitude
We are all blessed in different ways. No matter what challenges you are facing, show your appreciation for what you do have. Be grateful for all of your blessings instead of complaining about the things you don’t have.
Lift Others Up Instead of Envying Them
Try not to let jealousy take control. It’s easy to envy others, but it will never get you anywhere. It will not improve your life at all. Everybody is dealing with their own challenges, so bring positive vibes wherever you go. People will appreciate you for being a kind person who lifts others up and does not put others down!
Use Social Media Wisely
If you are constantly looking at social media, it is likely you will begin to compare yourself to the people you see on Instagram, Twitter, etc. Cut out the people you compare yourself to by unfollowing them. It is not personal. It is better for your mental health to be looking at positive posts rather than involving yourself in “friendships” or “idolizations” that are not healthy for you.
Set Goals For Yourself
If you are not satisfied with yourself for some reason, set goals to help you feel better about yourself. Make sure these goals are positive! If you want to become healthier, set a goal to exercise and make better food choices. If you want to look prettier, look inside yourself first. Remember your amazing qualities and characteristics. You are beautiful as you are, so I would not recommend setting goals to change who you are. That would only lead to more negativity.
